STEP 1 Compost Creation:

STEP 2 Compost-Making Process:

- The crucial step of pasteurization eliminates unwanted guests like insects or fungi.
- Removes ammonia formed during composting, ensuring a clean and nutrient-rich base.
STEP 3 Mushroom Spawns Integration:
- Mushroom spawns combined with compost, using 35 tonnes of compost mixed with 350 kg of seed.
- Mixture filled into polythene bags, each with at least 10 kg of compost and aeration holes.
- Bags stacked on racks in the cold chamber for the next phase.
STEP 4 Mycelium Spread and Casing:
- In 12 days, mushroom fungus mycelium spreads in bags, with chamber temperature at 23-24 degrees Celsius.
- Bags opened, casing done using coco peat and gypsum as a top dressing for the compost.
- A casing thickness of 1.5 to 2 inches provides a perfect bed for mushroom growth.
STEP 5 Pinning and Growth:
- The temperature dropped to 5-10 degrees, making mycelium disappear and allowing mushroom initials to grow (pinning).
- Mushrooms double in size every 24 hours after pinning.
- After 21 days of casing, mushrooms are ready for harvest.
