STEP 1 Compost Creation:

  • Rishabh and Ayush concoct the magic potion for mushroom growth – compost.
  • The special mix includes wheat straw, chicken manure, gypsum, and potassium.
  • Chicken manure supplies essential nutrients, especially nitrogen, crucial for mushroom growth.

STEP 2 Compost-Making Process:

  • Wheat straw soaked in water, combined with chicken manure, gypsum, and potassium.
  • The crucial step of pasteurization eliminates unwanted guests like insects or fungi.

STEP 3 Mushroom Spawns Integration:

STEP 4 Mycelium Spread and Casing:

  • In 12 days, mushroom fungus mycelium spreads in bags, with chamber temperature at 23-24 degrees Celsius.
  • Bags opened, casing done using coco peat and gypsum as a top dressing for the compost.
  • A casing thickness of 1.5 to 2 inches provides a perfect bed for mushroom growth.

STEP 5 Pinning and Growth:

  • The temperature dropped to 5-10 degrees, making mycelium disappear and allowing mushroom initials to grow (pinning).
  • Mushrooms double in size every 24 hours after pinning.
  • After 21 days of casing, mushrooms are ready for harvest.
