However, at sea level, there’s a noticeable increase in torque after 1,500 rpm. I didn’t use Eco mode much because it’s better suited for city riding with subtle performance in the first four gears.
On the other hand, Performance mode allowed me to achieve good speeds, mostly riding above 100kmph. Surprisingly, even at 120kmph, the Himalayan felt comfortable. Vibrations were minimal, overall comfort was reasonable, and the bike felt sturdy and smooth. I believe 120kmph could be a comfortable touring speed on Indian highways, but a conclusive confirmation would require testing in Mumbai.
